M\/s Jacklyne D. Obonyo is the National Chairman of Afya SACCO Society Limited, providing strategic leadership, ensures compliance with regulatory and governance requirements, and overseeing the effective functioning of the Board.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Bsc. Nursing) and a Senior Management Course with the Kenya School of Government. She is a member of the National Council of Kenya (NCK) and Kenya Progressive Nurses Association (KPNA).

Ms. Jacklyne D. Obonyo is a seasoned healthcare professional and cooperative leader with proven experience in SACCO governance, credit management, and board oversight. \u00a0Her background combines clinical expertise with sound knowledge of cooperative operations and financial oversight enabling her to drive sustainable growth, financial prudence, and member-focused service delivery.

Prior to her appointment as the Chairperson of Afya SACCO, she served as the Chair- Credit Committee, where she oversaw credit policies, loan approvals, portfolio quality and risk management processes in line with the SACCO Bylaws and regulatory requirement.

She is currently the Chairperson of Women in Co-operatives \u2013 Nairobi Chapter a position that has earned her immense expertise in Corporate Governance and Co-operative Management. Mr. Henry K. Kosgei<\/h2>\n

Mr. Henry Kosgei is the Vice Chairman of the Afya SACCO Society Limited where he plays a pivotal role in steering the co-operatives governance, strategic direction and members focused initiatives.

He holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Radiography from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, a Higher Diploma in Medical Sonography and Diploma in Diagnostic Imaging from Kenya Medical Training College, a Certificate in Management and Administration, a Certificate in Sacco Governance from Co-operative University and a Certificate in Grant writing. He is a member of Society of Radiographers in Kenya (SORK).

Mr. Kosgei is a distinguished Principal radiographer with extensive expertise in medical imaging and health care service delivery. His professional background spans 25 years of experience in supervising radiology units, advancing diagnostic excellence and mentoring upcoming radiographers. He is proficient in advanced imaging modalities and has contributed significantly to the enhancement of health care in Nairobi County.

Alongside his medical career, Kosgei has demonstrated exceptional leadership within the cooperative movement. He has held key positions in his Sacco, including Branch Delegate (2005\u20132017), Chair of the Supervisory Committee (2017\u20132020), and currently Vice Chairman (since July 2021).

His dual expertise in healthcare and co-operative governance has enabled him to bring perspective to SACCO leadership, particularly in organizational discipline, ethical accountability and member welfare. She holds a Master\u2019s Degree in Medical Education and Promotion from Mount Kenya University, in addition to a Bachelor\u2019s Degree, Diploma, and Certificate in Health Records and Information Management Systems, reflecting a strong academic foundation in health systems management and administration. She is a Certified Professional Mediator trained at Mount Kenya University, with liaison to the Suluhu Mediation Centre and is registered with the Judiciary, bringing valuable conflict resolution and governance skills to board deliberations.

M\/s Mogire has extensive experience in cooperative leadership, having served as Chairperson of the KNH Branch, Chairperson of the Supervisory Committee for five (5) years, Board Member for four (4) years, Vice Chairperson for two (2) years, and National Chairperson for five (5) years.

Mr. Benson Mbae is the Chair of the Audit Board Committee of Afya SACCO Society Limited, where he plays a key role in overseeing the SACCO\u2019s financial reporting processes, internal audit functions, regulatory compliance, and risk management framework.

He holds an MBA in Human Resource Management (UON), a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Education (UON), a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management and a Senior Management Course (KSG). He is a certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP-K), a certified Internal Auditor (KEBS), a Certified Professional Mediator (CPM) and a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).

Mr. Mbae has 14years experience in Administration and Human Resource Management. His governance expertise is well demonstrated through his board service as a Board Member of the KMTC Pension Scheme for six years, where he provided oversight on pension administration and investment strategies.

His career reflects a deep commitment to empowering individuals, building resilient institutions, and advancing cooperative values. M\/s Beth W. Wanjohi<\/h2>\n

M\/s Beth Njaramba is the Secretary of the Audit and Risk Board Committee and a Member of the Marketing and Business Development Board committee of Afya SACCO Society Limited where she is responsible for driving growth, innovation and sustainability by overseeing product development, member recruitment and strategic partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She holds a Diploma in Medical Engineering and is an active member of professional associations including AMEK and JEPAK. She is internationally accredited by NSF as a Biological Safety Cabinets (BSCs) field certifier and has been trained as a Trainer of Trainers (TOT) in laboratory equipment management, HIV\/AIDS programs, and equipment calibration. She has mentored biomedical engineers and laboratory professionals both locally and internationally, strengthening capacity in equipment management and safety standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She brings over 33 years of distinguished service in biomedical engineering, having worked extensively with the Ministry of Health (MOH) where she heads the Biomedical Engineering Department. In this role, she has coordinated national and county-level activities and acted as a key liaison with international and local stakeholders including CDC, AMREF, CHAK, LVCT, APHL, CHS, and CIHEB, supporting the MOH in equipment management and calibration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, she serves as Manager of the Biomedical Engineering Unit at the National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL), overseeing service, repair, and calibration of laboratory equipment and plants. Her previous leadership includes serving as Technical Manager at the Calibration Center of Excellence (COE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

M\/s Njaramba\u2019s expertise in risk management, governance, and technical operations, combined with her long-standing leadership in biomedical engineering, makes her a valuable contributor to the SACCO\u2019s oversight, accountability, and strategic growth.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

As a seasoned professional in business administration and supply chain management, Ms. Anyango combines academic knowledge with practical expertise in operations, financial analysis, and institutional governance. Her professional role as a Supply Chain Management and Administrative Officer further strengthens her ability to align organizational processes with strategic objectives.

He holds a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science from Kenya Polytechnic College. He is certified in Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Biomedical Conduct of Research, and ISO 15189 Laboratory Quality Management.

Mr. Oira has over 30 years of professional experience as a Medical Laboratory Analyst with the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI). With extensive expertise in clinical laboratory operations, specimen management, and quality assurance, the Chair has a strong background in integrity-driven, regulated environments.

These competencies support effective oversight of SACCO operations, including monitoring financial transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing independent recommendations to the Board of Directors. His leadership capacity is strengthened by formal training in Leadership and Governance from KUSCCO and Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.

He holds tertiary-level qualifications in Motor Vehicle Mechanics (MVM) from Nairobi Craft Engineering Training School and a specialized certification in Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism from the Law Enforcement Academy, KWS Manyani.

Currently, Mr. Menza serves as a Transport Officer, where he plays a critical role in ensuring efficient, reliable, and policy-compliant transport services that support both routine operations and emergency responses. His professional experience includes reconciling fuel consumption across all vehicles, addressing mechanical challenges, and advising drivers on operational policies, safety standards, and professional etiquette.
