LVNWWDA to handover projects to NRVWWDA

Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency Ag. CEO Daniel Bundotich and North Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency Ag. CEO. Eng. Rachael Makokha has officially begun  the process of handing over of projects and assets from the former to the later.

Parts of the North Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency (NRVWWDA) previously belonged to the jurisdiction area of the Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency (LVNWWDA) before the formation of the NRVWWDA.

All the projects which had initially been planned to be done by the LVNWWDA but are now within the service area of NRVWWDA shall be handed over to the new Agency for implementation. The mostly affected are those within the Uasin Gishu and Marakwet Counties which were hived off from the LVNWWDA to form part of the NRVWWDA.

Also affected are cross boarder projects which traversed between two neighboring counties majorly Trans-Nzoia, Kakamega and Uasin Gishu Counties.

The handing over process is expected to be complete before the end of February 2021.
NRVWWDA covers Turkana, West Pokot, Elgeyo Marakwet and Uasin Gishu Counties while LVNWWDA covers Kakamega, Bungoma, Trans-Nzoia, Vihiga, Busia and Nandi Counties.
