The proposed Malava Water Supply Project is meant to serve Malava town and its environs and involves construction of Gravity Water Scheme of 3,200m3/day and two independent schemes of 1,000m3/day on Kivaywa and Namagara Rivers. The project is estimated to cost  Kshs 2 .2 Billion. The designs have been completed and the Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency is in the process of sourcing for funds for its construction.
