Our Structure
MUSWASCO operates through a structured system of specialized departments, each working together to ensure efficient service delivery and strong organizational performance.
The department is tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Registry operations, mailing and courier services
- Supervise Transport management and logistics
- Conduct AGM’s/Stakeholders meetings and ensuring proper documentation of proceedings
- Continually review the performance of contracted security Provider ensuring all company facilities are adequately guarded
The department is tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Control and management of commercial activities which include new connections, billing of customers, connections and disconnection activities.
- Ensure timely bill dispatch to customers.
- Plan monthly meter reading cycles on time.
- Handle commercial complains that may arise from water consumers.
The department is tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Preparation of annual financial statements for the company and present it to the board of directors.
- Managing and control of sound financial systems which include financial records, revenue collection, cash flows and expenditure.
- Coming up with annual budgets for various departments and budget allocation of the same.
The department is tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Come up with a proper documentation and maintain a well defined audit plan and controls that help provide assurance that MUSWASCO policies are adhered to.
- Audit financial transaction to ensure they are in line with the company policies
- Identify, assess, and evaluate the Company’s risk areas; make appropriate recommendations for improved internal controls and accounting procedures
- Prepare comprehensive audit report and present to the Board of Directors.
- Advise the company and the management on the areas to improve as far as Audit controls are concerned.
The department is tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Organize trainings for various staff to bridge on professional gaps.
- Engage with the various stakeholders and customers on any emerging issues which include public participation.
- Advise the company on any new technologies through the ICT section.
- Act as the official company communication channel on matters pertaining legal issues,
upcoming meetings an any other engagements in future.
The department is tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Ensuring the distribution of quality water.
- Timely maintenance of water infrastructure, which includes pipe network, water meters, pumps and boreholes.
- Plan for routine audits, plans, and provide the best way possible to address technical issues whenever they arise.
- Rehabilitation of dilapidated pipe networks.
- Supervising construction works and repairs.
- Preparation of long-term development plans, and liaise with the various international organisations to achieve the same.
