Kinyona Treatment Works

The Kinyona Water Treatment Works plays a vital role in treating water diverted from the Irati River, ensuring safe and clean water for surrounding communities. Ongoing rehabilitation and expansion efforts aim to boost its treatment capacity, improving water reliability for Sabasaba and its neighbouring areas. This investment underscores MUSWASCO’s commitment to sustainable water supply and infrastructure development.

Maragua Dam Spillway

The Maragua Dam Spillway forms part of the larger Maragua Dam project, which is central to enhancing water distribution across Maragua Sub-County. A recent directive to transfer its management to Murang’a Water and Sanitation Company (MUWASCO) seeks to optimize operations and ensure efficient water delivery to local communities, reflecting a coordinated approach to regional water management.

Kiricuingu Treatment Works

The Kiriciungu Water Treatment Works represents a strategic investment in maintaining and upgrading existing water infrastructure. Through continuous improvements, the facility ensures that water quality standards are upheld while guaranteeing a consistent and reliable supply to the communities it serves.

Kangari Water Pipeline Infrastructure project

The Kangari Water Pipeline Infrastructure Project, partly funded by the World Bank, focuses on expanding and modernizing the water pipeline network in Kangari and surrounding communities. This ambitious project is designed to increase water access and coverage, supporting MUSWASCO’s broader goal of delivering safe, dependable water services to more households.
